The Fashionable Man: 5 Men’s Fashion Tips for a Man with Style

One of the best ways to make a statement without actually saying anything is through your fashion sense. The way you look and how you carry yourself will do a lot more than you think about how people will perceive you.

Even if you’re not in the entertainment business or the fashion industry, there are a few things you can do to help you look more fashionable and trendy.

Style is important and here are a few ways to proceed.

Find your style

If you’re stuck on ideas about how to create your own style, you may study other icons and designers that you admire. Go through their images and use it to create your own style. Try not to copy everything you see and use only ideas that would establish yours. Another way to discover your fashion taste is by trying different styles you’ve never done before. Don’t be afraid to wear funky jackets, a funny t shirt, baggy pants or even sportswear for casual attire. You may never know what looks good on you unless you try it.

Make sure it works with your lifestyle

You don’t want to wear skinny jeans if you’re a lawyer in court. You have to save those for your off-duty periods. Allow yourself to add things that work with your current lifestyle and drop things that really don’t.

However, even if your lifestyle has very strict and specific dress codes, you can still find ways to play around with the dressing and stand out from others. Follow the rules but don’t feel constricted.

Do a market survey and budget

The aim is for you to be fashionable and stylish and not for you to empty your account trying to look good. The percentage of your income that you can spend on fashion is personal.

However, when you decide, find items that fit within your budget and don’t surpass it. There are sneakers for men that cost €200 but also some that cost €35 or even less. Do what works for you.

Invest in Quality

A popular saying has it that, “It’s expensive to be cheap.” As much as you’re not expected to spend all your money on your clothes, try to strive for quality. Buy items that will last even if you can’t buy several at once.

Accessorize

Adding a few finishing touches to your dressing is always exciting. Sometimes, a bracelet is all you need to do the trick. Other times, you can decide to buy men’s slippers or pumps for men instead of regular shoes.

Try wearing a tie. Wear a different type of wristwatch or a different style of pants. The only real rule here is to not overdo it.

There are many ways you can look stylish that would be easy on you and exciting for others to see. However unfair it might sound, people would make certain conclusions about you based on how you look. Why not make it easy for them?
